Account Executive (Field Sales Representative)

Location: Western Jamaica (Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James, St. Elizabeth, Clarendon, St. Catherine, Kingston)

What This Role Really Is

You're not an "account manager" babysitting reorders. You're not a delivery coordinator playing phone tag with customers about where their shipment is. You're not a collections agent chasing down payments.

You're a CLOSER.

Your job is singular and clear: Build relationships with commercial buyers, present solutions, negotiate deals, and close business.

Your Territory & Focus

You own 100+ commercial accounts across Jamaica in these sectors:

  • Hospitality (hotels, resorts, villas)

  • Property management and real estate development

  • Commercial contractors and builders

  • Restaurants and commercial kitchens

  • Retail and institutional buyers

Your product focus: High-ticket capital equipment & solutions, and lower-ticket volume items:

  • Commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems

  • Solar and energy solutions

  • Water heating systems (commercial and residential)

  • Volume wholesale products

Deal sizes: JMD $150K - $3M+ (avg JMD $500K-$750K)

Your Day-to-Day (The Real Work)

Week 1 Might Look Like This:

Monday Morning:

  • Pipeline review meeting with sales leadership

  • 3 pre-qualified opportunities handed to you by Telesales team

  • Review dormant account list (20 former customers to reactivate this month)

Monday-Thursday:

  • 3-4 on-site meetings daily with prospects and customers

  • Discovery conversations, site assessments, needs analysis

  • Quote development and proposal presentations

  • Negotiation calls and follow-ups

  • CRM updates and deal progression

Friday:

  • 2 morning meetings

  • Afternoon: Quote refinement, contract prep, next week planning

  • Weekly team scorecard review (public - everyone sees who's winning)

Weekend:

  • Occasional customer call or urgent quote (this is B2B sales, deals don't stop at 5pm)

  • Usually 1-2 hours max

What You're Actually Measured On

Activity Metrics:

  • Face-to-face meetings per week (target: 12-15)

  • Orders & Quotes submitted and proposals presented

  • Follow-up discipline (did you do what you said you'd do?)

Performance Metrics:

  • Close rate on qualified opportunities (target: 35-45%)

  • Average deal size (higher = better, but quality matters)

  • Sales cycle length (faster = better)

  • New accounts added monthly (target: 5-8)

Revenue Metrics:

  • Monthly and quarterly revenue targets

  • Product mix (are you selling high-margin solutions or just easy reorders?)

  • Territory growth (is your book of business expanding or stagnant?)

You'll have full visibility into these metrics through your CRM dashboard. No surprises. No "we'll tell you at year-end review" nonsense.

Our tiered commission structure rewards you for the RIGHT behavior:

  • NEW business and dormant reactivations: HIGHEST commission rate

  • Account expansion and growth: HIGH commission rate

  • Maintenance reorders (servicing existing): MINIMAL commission rate

Translation: Bringing in a JMD $500K new customer pays you 8x more than servicing a JMD $500K reorder from existing client.

We WANT you chasing new business. We WANT you building relationships with new accounts. We WANT you reactivating dormant customers. And we'll pay you accordingly.

3. Massive Performance Bonuses (Stack These)

On top of commission, you can earn monthly performance bonuses for hitting specific targets:

Who You Are (Real Requirements)

Non-Negotiables

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years in B2B field sales, account management, or territory sales

  • Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota (we'll verify)

  • Experience managing accounts in wholesale, distribution, construction, hospitality, or commercial sectors

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Skills:

  • Strong consultative selling and discovery abilities

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills

  • Can manage complex sales cycles (30-90 days)

  • Comfortable with CRM and sales technology

  • Can work independently without constant supervision

Mindset:

  • Closer mentality: You LOVE the hunt and the close

  • Relationship builder: You create trust and maintain it over time

  • Competitive drive: You want to win and you'll work for it

  • Organized & disciplined: You manage territory, pipeline, and time like a business owner

  • Resilient: You handle objections and rejection professionally

Nice-to-Haves

  • Existing relationships with property managers, contractors, hotels, or commercial buyers in Jamaica

  • Experience selling high-ticket capital equipment (HVAC, solar, building materials, commercial kitchen as well as volume items)

  • Knowledge of project-based sales cycles

  • Track record in commission-heavy or performance-based roles

What We're NOT Looking For (Save Us Both Time)
